Wroclaw is a city located at the border between three countries, which has been closely linked by interwined history. It is a meeting city, a place which unites. Here in some way, western and eastern spiritual traditions meet.
Pope John Paul II (01.06.1997)

INVESTING IN WROCLAW - Why Wroc³aw ?

Wroc³aw as an economic leader…
International economic experts situate our city among today's economic
leaders. What this means is that Wroc³aw occupies a region of intensive
economic growth. The benefits, coming from its geographical
location, should not be underestimated, as the city is situated directly on the
intersection of the north-to-south and west-to-east routes across Poland.
In the city's long history, this specific location was the key factor in its
successful and wide-ranging development, and today after the political system in
Poland has changed, the situation is once again similar.
Lower Silesia, with Wroc³aw as its capital, is an industrial region that is
most enthusiastically chosen by various foreign investors. Besides being
rich in beautiful tourist sights, Lower Silesia is one of the most
industrialized regions of Poland. Moreover, good soils, mild climate and
favorable agrarian structures are conducive to agriculture also the following
industries are found in the region: brown coal mining, metal ores mining, metal,
machine building, fuel-energy, chemical, and building industry. |

The idea of "our return" to Europe discussed in terms of Poland’s European Union accession seems to be rather foolish, after all the land between the Oder and the Bug River does not lie somewhere to the east of the Ural Mountains. Moreover, it's preposterous to deny a country, which Christian roots go back to the first millenium after Christ's birth, its European background. "Rreturn to Europe"… this sounds especially strange in relation to Wroc³aw - the city, that for centuries, has played a significant role in the history of the European superpowers. |
